Tim O’Krongley has been appointed the Deputy Aviation Director of Planning, Design, Construction, and the New Terminal Program. O’Krongley has over 34 years of experience in the aviation industry. He most recently served as the Aviation Planning Director for the past five years at the national consulting firm, Garver, LLC where he oversaw the Aviation Planning Team and the development of facility planning projects, Airport Master Plans, Strategic Plans, Safety Management Systems. Some of key projects include building a new airport, new terminal building significant airfield programs, new parking garages, a consolidated rental car facility. He has extensive knowledge in airport master planning, fiscal planning/operations, budgets, parking and ground transportation, public involvement, and emergency development.
O’Krongley is also the former Deputy Aviation Director for the San Antonio Airport System, so he’s returning to City of San Antonio after a brief hiatus. Tim directed and coordinated daily operations, planning, construction, safety, security, finance, and administration. He’s recognized across the country for his expertise in the aviation industry. O’Krongley holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s in Aeronautical Science, Aviation Management degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
