Welcome from the Chairman

WELCOME FROM THE CHAIRMAN

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the 9th annual SMART Airports & Regions Conference and Exhibition taking place from 10 – 12 July in the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado. This event will explore themes of “Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability”, as airports and their adjacent regions plan for the future.

We have assembled an incredible roster of over 70 speakers from around the globe who will share their experiences with the latest technologies and best practices in the development and operation of SMART Airports and Regions.

Our conference host, Denver International Airport (DEN), will highlight the various innovative initiatives evolving at DEN, and the key role DEN plays in stimulating the region’s economy. Situated across 53 square miles, DEN generates over $36.4 billion per year in economic impact, employing over 37,000 people.

There will be many opportunities to interact with professionals and experts to share experiences and best practices, including at the Evening Networking Party on 11 July taking place on the rooftop terrace of the Colorado Convention Center.

Pre-Conference Discovery Workshops on 10 July will address provocative topics ranging from Digitized Parking Optimizing, to exploring technological innovations in Renewable Green Energy, Electrification, Hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), Decarbonization, and Advanced Air & Ground Mobility that are driving airport planning and development.

The main conference will kick off on 11 July, with the exciting Chief Executive Officer/Airport Director Panel Discussions addressing what Smart Airports and Cities are doing to become resilient and decarbonized, while facilitating innovative opportunities. On 11 & 12 July, we will hear from many speakers on topics ranging from designing and building SMART connected airports to embracing next generation technologies.

In addition to the event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the region, including the incredible renaissance of Downtown Denver with the LODO (Lower Downtown) District, a diversity of dining experiences, spectator sports venues, the University of Colorado Denver, South Platte River, and nearby arts and cultural districts. Not far from Denver, the dramatic Rocky Mountains Front Range area provides an ecotopian recreation paradise to explore.

This event promises to be engaging, facilitating sharing of experiences while networking amongst global leaders in the evolution and operation of SMART Airports and Regions.

I look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy this incredible event!

Sincerely,
