Ingvald Erga is Environmental manager at Stavanger Airport Sola (Avinor), with a broad range of environmental and innovative issues like honey production and tomato greenhouse in terminal to green aviation and electric airplanes. Other important areas of work are climate certification, energy saving, biodiversity, noise, waste and recycling, discharge permits and environmental monitoring. The airport now develops the ecosystem around charging of electric planes, and Avinor with 44 airports in Norway has a vision that all civil domestic aviation is electric in 2040. Ingvald has previously worked with environmental issues for over 20 years in Friends of the Earth, the Norwegian Permaculture association and Green Living. He has tested and built ecohouse, alternative energies like wind and sun, strawbale house, organic farming and sustainable living and practice at Erga Farm on the southwest cost of Norway where he lives with his wife, four children, grandchildren and parents.
