Heike Nehl is a founder of Moniteurs, a leading design company based in Berlin. Moniteurs is focusing on information design and digital products. She is responsible for projects on behalf of a wide range of airports, among them Zurich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Munich and the new Berlin Airport. For the latter Moniteurs developed a wayfinding system from scratch. She has comprehensive knowledge about development processes and is an expert for visual communication at international airports. Heike Nehl is also deeply connected to typography, co-edited a book underlining the visual power of contemporary fonts, worked on several publications and gave talks about signage systems. She also taught design at Bauhaus University in Weimar, as well as The Chinese German Academy of the Arts Hangzhou, China. Today’s main activity of Heike Nehl is working with her team at Moniteurs, creating holistic visual systems and make them work best for users.
